In Memory of Audrey Nell Williams

Audrey Nell Williams, age 90, passed away quietly Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in the Willow Brook Assisted Living Facility, Lake City, Florida. She was the wife of the late George Wallace Williams and the daughter of the late Ira & Cordie Wood.

Audrey was born in Wellborn, Fl. And was raised in Suwanee County where her heart returned often. She loved watching historic videos of Wellborn’s past. She loved exploring her Southern Heritage and relationship with Jesus, with memberships and strong commitment to the Primitive Baptist Faith, both in Vero Beach, Fl., where her husband was from, and in the Suwanee County area where she was a member of Crawford Lake Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, McAlpin, Fl. She enjoyed the history shared with her membership in the Daughter’s of the Confederacy.

She was the happiest when she was with family, attending church, or just sitting with old lifetime friends talking. Mom made many friends from working at Dale’s Manufacturing in Wabasso, Fl. before it closed and at First Citrus Bank in Vero Beach for several years until she retired to care for her husband for several years.

Mom’s generation grew up in the uniformed age of cigarette popularity with few warnings of second-hand smoke or lung cancer. Though mom never smoked she and dad were lost to COPD from a lifetime of second-hand smoke which mom gladly tolerated to be close to the love of her life, Dad.

She is survived by a son, Phil Williams of Lake Placid, Fl; two daughters, Francine Glover of Live Oak and Arleen Magee of Vero Beach, Fl; one sister, Bon Ward of Live Oak. Three Grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren also survive.

Family received their friends and neighbors Thursday Evening from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Harris Funeral Home in Live Oak, Fl.

Graveside Services were held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Crawford Lake Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, McAlpin, Fl. Pastor David Crawford, officiated Graveside Services Friday morning at 11:00 in the Crawford Lake Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, in McAlpin, Florida.
