In Memory of Mary K. Williamson

May 15, 1927 to February 21, 2022
Mary Katherine Hyatt Blanks Williamson, 94, of Branford, Gilchrist County passed peacefully at her home with family by her side on February 21, 2022. Ms. Williamson was born May 15, 1927 in Whiteville, North Carolina to the late Bennie and Maudie Mae (Bullard) Hyatt.
She moved from North Carolina to the Clearwater/Largo area in Florida where she was a homemaker until becoming a widow at an early age where she then went to work at the country club as a cook to support three young boys. Upon remarrying she move to north Gilchrist County in the early 70’s to enjoy living the country life on their 5-acre farm. She also worked as a CNA at Ayers Nursing Home until the mid-1990’s.
She is survived by 1 son, Duron (Lisa) Williamson, and 2 daughters Patricia (Bob) Scire, Murna (Charlie) Dishman. 3 Daughter-In-Laws, Ms. Bennie (Judy) Blanks and Ms. Odel (Nancy) Blanks, Kathy Williamson, 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by 2 husbands Fearlie Odell Blanks and Johnny J. Williamson. 4 sons, Odel Blanks, Freddy Blanks, Bennie Blanks, Durmond Williamson. 4 Grandchildren, Mark Blanks, Brian Blanks, Amanda Martin, Heather Dishman and is the last of her siblings to make the journey home to be with the Lord.
Ms. Willamson was a devoted Christian who loved to sit and read her Bible daily and could often be heard humming or singing “One Day at A Time,” around the house as she diligently did chores. She loved watching the birds at the feeders and putting up vegetables. She was very loved and will be missed by many.
Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Florida Friday, February 25th viewing was at 11 a.m., service was at 12 p.m. with final rest at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery immediately after.
