The Committee is excited to announce that Suwannee County Purple Heart recipients will be honored at this year’s event.

Submitted - The Live Oak Freedom Festival Committee met recently to finalize plans for the 2025 Independence Day celebration. The Festival will take place on July 4th at 6:30 pm in downtown Live Oak.

The Committee is excited to announce that Suwannee County Purple Heart recipients will be honored at this year’s event. The Purple Heart is a “U. S. military decoration awarded in the name of the President to those wounded or killed while serving with the U. There will be food vendors, live entertainment with Wild Lilly and Zac Petty, bounce houses, games, face painting and other activities. The climax of the evening will be the annual fireworks display at 9:15 sponsored by Busy Bee.
