
MADISON, FL – North Florida College is proud to recognize 138 Sentinels for outstanding academic achievement at the conclusion of its Spring Term 2023.
Students included in the President’s List are full-time students who, during the term, earned a grade point average of 3.8 or higher for at least 12 college credit hours of coursework.
Those who are recognized in the Academic Dean’s List have earned a grade point average of 3.50 to 3.79 on coursework of at least 12 hours.
Congratulations to these outstanding Sentinels.

Last week, Governor Ron DeSantis announced more than $15 million in awards to five rural communities through the Rural Infrastructure Fund (RIF) program to support community economic development projects that will strengthen public infrastructure and expand job opportunities for residents. Awards include more than $9.6 million to Suwannee County to support an industrial park.

On July 1st, the new Florida “Constitutional Carry” law will take effect. It was signed by Governor DeSantis on April 3, 2023. This law grants individuals the right to bear arms in accordance with the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Unfortunately, confusion over the new law abounds, much of it generated intentionally to support opponents’ narratives. What does the new law actually mean, and how does it affect those who wish to invoke their Second Amendment rights?

Madison, Fla., – Major facility and infrastructure updates at Camp Cherry Lake in Madison are planned for the coming years. These updates will include replacing most of Camp Cherry Lake’s cabins with climate-controlled lodging that is more accessible. One original cabin will be retained to share the history of the camp and area with visitors.
