ACV names new Vice President for Independent Living Operations

David Klumpenhower

Dowling Park, Fla., - Advent Christian Village is proud to announce that David Klumpenhower has been named our new Vice President for Independent Living Operations.

David is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church, having transitioned to senior living from the chaplaincy. He has spent the last 18 years serving in senior living communities, most recently as associate executive director of a community with the Sun Health organization, a non-profit LeadingAge community located in Phoenix, Arizona.

In his new role, David will be responsible for all independent living operations at Advent Christian Village’s 1200 acre campus in Suwannee County, including member services, environmental services, dining services, all conference and retreat services, the Copeland Community Center, admissions and residency services, service coordinators and marketing. He takes over from Mark Edquid, who retired earlier this month.

“I believe leadership is about serving the people around you with humility, compassion and empathy,” says David. “I intend to hold these values close to my heart while ensuring ACV provides exemplary service to its members through innovative programs. It is my calling to serve with consistency.”

David and his wife Winnie have two elementary school aged boys, Samuel and Benjamin, as well as two older sons, Gerrit and Matthew (currently serving in the Navy), and are looking forward to making a new home in Dowling Park.
