Obit, Obituary for Danny Griffith

In Memory of Danny Griffith

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danny Griffith, a devoted husband, loving brother, supportive stepfather and friend to many. Danny gained his wings suddenly on January 23, 2025, at the age of 44. A lifelong resident of Branford, he touched countless lives and was a master high performance engine builder. Danny was active in the community; whether you agreed with him or not, you always knew where you stood with him. He leaves behind a legacy of humor, unwavering support, and knowledge that will be unmatched.

As the youngest in our family, he was always ready to lend a hand, often accompanied by a sarcastic one-liner to put a smile on your face. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Stacey Griffith; siblings, Trapper (Erika) Griffith and Johnathan (Terri) Griffith; stepson’s Kyle (Kayla) Smith and Kody (Hannah) Smith; nephews, Lane and Garrett Griffith, Tyler Barnes-Brant and Travis (Rebecca) Horton; niece, Emily Barnes; and grandchildren, Sienna and Hasting Smith, along with extended family and countless friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Sara and Robert Griffith and half-brother Jay Anderson.

While we grieve his absence, we find comfort in the beautiful life he lived and the love he so generously shared. A celebration of his life will be held in his honor, with the date, time, and location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing an annual scholarship in Danny’s name for auto mechanic education at River Oak Technical College.
